Add some space to drive c: ...
It doesn't matter which virtualization was used.
There is usually 'disk space' where virtual machine (like Windows 2012 R2) was set.
Sometimes drive c: goes just up and reach limit...
Drive c: before resize
1. Stop virtual machine
before:
after:
2. Remember about backup, in my case, just copy qcow2 image ...
3. Add some space to image, lvm ...
In my case 10GB will be added to image.qcow2.
cmd:
qemu-img resize /VMS/win2012r2x01/win2012r2x01.qcow2 +10GB
result:
4. Start virtual machine
In my case it is kvm virtualization.
5. Resize drive c:
Get admin access on Windows, then run diskmgmt.msc console.
There is some space unallocated.
Let's add this pace to drive c:
Right click over (c:), then go to "Extend Volume"
New wizard goes ...
Select how much resize drive c:
Finish task...
Restart Windows system (probably you do not need this!?!)
6. This is drive c: after resize
